Feeding Instructions
South American Mix should be fed as your bird’s primary diet (80% of daily feed consumed). The remaining 20% of the diet should be made up of healthy fruit and vegetables (15%) and a small amount of treat foods such as nuts and seeds (5%). Average daily pellet requirements: South American birds require a minmum of 8g per 100g of bodyweight in pellets per day, for example: A small conure (approx. 100g bodyweight) requires a minimum of 10g per day. A medium amazon (approx. 400g bodyweight) requires a minimum of 30g per day. A large macaw (approx 800g bodyweight) requires a minimum of 60g per day. Also suitable for Australian and Asiatic Parrots as a treat, to add variety to the diet.
